April 1-3, 2008 Kamenny Vek took part in the JEC Composites Show in Paris, the main annual event in the world of composites. 1053 exhibiting brands and 27 000 visitors from all over the world came to introduce wide variety of composite solutions for automotive and aerospace industry, shipbuilding, civil and power engineering, electronics, consumer goods production etc.

Kamenny Vek offered a wide range of in-house products as well as goods made of basalt fiber by the company’s customers for various applications: woven fabrics and nonwoven materials, re-bars, filament wound high pressure vessels, laminates, brake pads and brake-shoe linings, ski-poles.

Great interest to basalt fiber showed filament winders, pultruders, textile and prepreg producers.

Among other areas of interest to basalt fiber are:

• Production and processing of basalt nonwoven materials
• Production of heat and fire resistant materials
• Concrete reinforcement
