Kamenny Vek company is going to be an exhibitor at JEC2009, 24-26 March, Paris, France. We would be glad to see you as our guests at our booth V37, Hall1.

Several new projects are being introduced in KamennyVek in 2008-2009

Several new projects were launched: production of special basalt rovings and UD-tapes for wind mill blades and basalt needle-punched mats.

Wind mill blades producers are currently using E-glass in their production. But wind mill industry is constantly seeking for the materials with higher mechanical properties, available and economical. Our high-quality basalt fiber is ideally suited for this purpose because of the very good relation between the mechanics and price of the fiber. Some customers are already using our fibers for UD-tapes production for the wind mill blades.

In the frames of this program we bought new LIBA biaxial machine. Now we are working to create product that ideally suits requirements of the wind mill blades producers and to develop optimal technology of the UD production. Furthermore we will be ready to pass this technology to our partners.

Moreover, we started to work with new US rewinding equipment that allows to obtain assembled roving with zero catenary and increase the mechanical properties of the fiber even further.

Basalt needle punched mats is another new product offered by Kamenny Vek since June 2008. As compared with glass mats basalt mats show better thermal and sound insulation properties, extended range of usage temperatures and environmental friendliness. At the moment we are able to suggest mats with 3 different surface densities.
